Who we are

Smart PDF Filler ("the app") is published by PrintHouse Corporation Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (no. 03456919) at Unit 45-50, 10 Hornsey Street, London N7 8EL, VAT no. GB 538 65 7895 ("we", "us"). You can contact us through the contact form.

Buying a subscription

On Windows, our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our Windows orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries about payment and handles returns. On Android, subscriptions are sold and managed by Google Play under Google's terms.

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time: on Windows through the link in your Paddle receipt or by sending us a message; on Android in Google Play. When you cancel, you keep Plus until the end of the period you have paid for.

The free allowance

Without a subscription you can open 5 new documents each calendar month, with every feature included. We may change the free allowance in future versions, but a change will never stop you finishing or saving a document you have already started.

Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own use or your business's use. You must not copy, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, or share, sell or publish your licence key.

Your documents

The app works on your own device. We do not receive, see or store the documents you open or the marks you add. You are responsible for what you put in a document and for keeping your own copies.

Signatures

The app places an image of your signature on a document. That is an electronic signature in the ordinary sense, which is valid for most purposes in the UK, but it is not a certified or "qualified" digital signature. Where a document must be signed in a particular way, check with whoever asked you to sign it.

Our responsibility to you

We work hard to make the app accurate, but box detection is automatic and may occasionally miss a box or place a mark imperfectly. Please check a form before you send it. The app is provided as it is, and to the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by a document you send, or for indirect or business losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your rights as a consumer under UK law.

Changes and the law

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and we will tell subscribers about significant changes by email. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, though if you are a consumer you may also bring proceedings where you live.
