The short version: your documents never leave your device. The app has no account system, no analytics and no advertising. The only personal data we handle is what is needed to sell you a subscription, send you a licence key and answer your questions.
Who is responsible
PrintHouse Corporation Ltd (company no. 03456919), Unit 45-50, 10 Hornsey Street, London N7 8EL, is the data controller. Contact us through the contact form.
Inside the app
- PDFs you open, the marks you add, your signature and your settings are stored only on your device, encrypted where the device supports it. Documents you keep are deleted automatically after the period you choose (30 days unless you change it), and you can delete them all at any time in Settings.
- The app does not send your documents, signature or usage anywhere. It contains no analytics or tracking.
- On Android, the only network use comes from Google Play's billing service, to check whether you have a subscription. On Windows, the app checks your licence key on your own computer.
- On Android, the app's data is excluded from Google's cloud backups, so it stays on the phone it was created on.
When you buy a subscription
- Windows: Paddle.com processes your payment as the Merchant of Record and handles your card details under Paddle's privacy notice. Paddle tells us your email address, name, country, plan and payment status. We use these to create and email your licence key, resend it if you ask, and keep the records the law requires. Lawful basis: performing our contract with you, and legal obligation for tax records.
- Android: Google Play handles the purchase under Google's privacy policy. We receive no personal details from Google, only whether your device has an active subscription.
When you contact us or use the help assistant
- Contact form: we receive your name, email address and message, and use them only to reply. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering you.
- Bot protection: the contact, help and licence forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a spam robot, is sending them. It runs in the background and usually shows nothing. It looks at signals from your browser, not at what you type, and it does not use cookies to track you. Cloudflare handles this under its Turnstile privacy notice. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in keeping these forms free of spam and abuse.
- Help assistant: your questions are sent to Anthropic, whose Claude AI model writes the answers. We do not store the conversation; Anthropic processes it under its commercial terms and does not use it to train its models. The assistant cannot see your documents. Please don't type personal details into it.
How long we keep it
We keep licence records while your subscription is active and for six years afterwards, as UK tax law requires. Messages you send us are kept for as long as needed to help you, and no more than two years.
Who we share it with
Paddle (payments), Anthropic (the help assistant), Cloudflare (bot protection on our forms), our email delivery provider (to send licence keys and pass on your messages), and our hosting provider Hetzner in Germany (where the licence service runs). We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it, through our contact form. If you are unhappy with our reply you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
